Another trip on the Thames

Our Day off on Friday was very busy with church work so we decided to take Saturday off and as the weather was good we decided to go to London.
Douglas had always wanted to go up the river to Hampton Court Palace so we decide that we could do the trip while in London for the day.

 As usual we enjoyed our train trip to Kings Cross and as his new bus pass had arrived, we took the bus to Trafalgar Square and walked to Westminster Pier to get the Thames River Boat that would take us to Hampton Court.

I am not very happy on the water so was glad that the top deck was full and we had to go to the lounge area downstairs.

We had a running commentary along the way which made it very interesting as the speaker was entertaining as well as informative:, "I do the commentary in 3 languages" he said, "English, Irish and Rubbish".

We enjoyed freshly made ham and cheese sandwiches and Douglas had a mug of coffee while we traveled along the scenic route.
