A cheerful reminder

We always tell everyone that we are Africans and as I see the African Violets on my kitchen window-sill I have a cheerful reminder of my roots as my mother always had these flowers in our home when I was young.

I can't even be sure that they are indigenous to SA but I do know that they remind me of South Africa. Douglas has been taking care of them and this year they are better than ever before.
