Another trip on the Thames part 2

The trip to Hampton Court was supposed to take 3 and a half hours but because we had to slow down so that those out on canoes did not get hit by huge waves, the trip took 4 hours in total.

  

 

We spent most of the time in the lounge but after the first stop, and when we arrived at the first lock, we went to the landing area to see what was happening.

It was also good to see the scenery that had changed from city type dwellings to more country styled housing.

Various sailing craft were out because of the good weather and so were the swans and other birds.

After the second stop we managed to find seats upstairs on the open deck so had a good view of the next lock and the lovely environment along the route.
