A new year

The Church new year starts in September and it was fitting that we had a Communion service at the Chapel where Douglas took his last service before his stroke in August last year. Now that I am his voice during services, I find myself sitting upfront instead of where I used to sit in the past.

As he was leading the service I noticed a lovely embroidered tablecloth on the small table next to my chair. When I took a closer look at the embroidery, I noticed our names.

 

I am aware that anniversaries are important here so can only presume that the cloth was made for the Anniversary in 2010
