49. In Holland again

Yesterday we once again flew out to Holland. We took a different route so instead of flying to Amsterdam from Stanstead, we flew to Eindhoven so had a shorter trip by car to the Dutch, Morris connection. What a joy to see them all again. We are so blessed to be able to visit so often. We had a wonderful day today and I was glad that I had looked at the video of Rachel at 14 months, as now that Owen is walking we are in for a hectic time and I needed to be prepared so that we can entertain each other. He is a very good little man and can keep himself busy without our help but we just need to keep our eyes open so that he does not hurt himself because he is just like Brendon was at that age, afraid of nothing at all and very interested in how things work. He loves Granny's toy (my laptop)and when ever he sees it being used he drops what he is doing and makes a beeline for it. He loves music and knows that it can come from the laptop so wants to investigate and see how it works. He loves Skype and smiles happily at the camera but does want to touch the keys at the same time so it is all rather hectic. If Grandpa is busy on the laptop he hears a very firm "no" but is also very bright and so goes to fetch something that he may play with and then when he thinks we have been distracted is back again to try and achieve his initial goal. We are enjoying him very much and tonight I was allowed to bath him and give him his milk before putting him to bed as Brendon was busy with his preparation for the Home Group meeting here this evening and Wendy had a lesson she had to attend. He was asleep after drinking his milk in a few minutes and while I was saying his prayers but then did manage to open his eyes to make sure that Mickey Big Ears was close by as I put him in his cot.
