The very long journey

It was 9h00 in the morning. The car was packed and we were ready to go. The Mommy was in the driving seat and the Granny sat between the munchkins in the back seat. They were so good sitting for many hours without complaining at all. Owen loved looking at all the trucks as we passed through Belgium and into France but fell asleep before we reached the tunnel. Erin either slept or played with her toys. After passport control the Mommy and the Daddy went to buy food for the train trip as by then it was lunch time. I was so happy that Owen woke up just as we approached the train so he could enjoy seeing us drive onto the train. He loved walking along the passages with the Daddy while the train went through the tunnel. Once in the UK we drove through rain so there was not much that could be seen. The Daddy was driving and the Granny kept reminding him that in the UK we drove on the left hand side. We had a stop at Gatwick airport where we said a sad goodbye to the Mommy who had to fly to SA. It had good facilities for Baby changing so we took the opportunity to have a comfortable nappy changing experience before we went on the last leg of our journey. It was long and we were all tired but once we arrived and saw the Grandpa all tiredness disappeared.
