On Friday a friend, Duncan Greaves, from South Africa arrived for a short visit. We had such a good time showing him the area and decided to have lunch at the church's Social Center. When we arrived there we discovered that they had been without electricity since 09h15 in the morning. We thought we were back in KZN but while chatting the lights came on so it was decided that they would still provide the dinner but we could come back later.
Yesterday we went to Sandringham after a drive through some of the villages to look at a few of the chapels in our area. We wandered around the house then walked through a section of the gardens to the old stables that had been converted into a museum. I especially enjoyed seeing all the old cars and ones made especially for Prince Charles. having been through the gardens I could just imagine the fun the Royal children had racing down the paths. We returned to the entrance gate using the Land Train provided. We ended the visit by going through the beautiful little Church where the Queen and her family attend the Christmas Day service most years.
After lunch at the Visitors' Center and with Douglas having bought a box of Apple Juice, we went on to Ely to return Duncan to his family there.
