The start of the parade itself was slightly delayed because, just as it was due to start, the trains arrived and so the level crossing was closed. It was, however, worth the wait and soon we heard the band playing and saw all the different floats and vehicles that formed part of the parade. We had never seen so many Minis or Tractors before. Evangeline was entranced. The weather was good and everyone had come out to enjoy the day. I was so glad that Evelyn and Evangeline were here to enjoy the day with us.
