Today when we arrived at the church for the midweek service we were fascinated to discover a very special dog with her owner having tea in the Social Center. I went over to chat to her as the coat said it was a Diabetic Hypo Alert Dog and and wondered who the Diabetic was. It turned out that the owner is Diabetic and the dog tell her when she must check her blood and take action because she is having a hypoglycemic attack. Apparently this happens every time and now this dog is one of 8 in the UK that have been accredited as this special type of dog and therefore give the same privileges that Guide Dogs receive. The dogs name is Chushla and I only wish Vera could also have a dog like that as it would give the family peace of mind. What a treasure.

Wow, amazing. Dogs are so clever. I noticed when I was pregnant that my friend Tracy's dogs seemed to realise they had to tread carefully when they sat on my lap. Also other animals are very perceptive. My rats seemed to know about Evangeline from very early on too. Now all that we need is to find a Bipolar Mania Alert Dog to stop you from doing stupid things and take away your credit cards when you are Manic.
