We had a lovely time walking in Douglas' footsteps as I showed her around the area and shared with her all the joy that he had had during his nearly five years in the UK.
I had not seen her since leaving SA nearly five years ago and it was as if we had seen each other yesterday when we met at Stanstead airport. We have always had much in common, not least that we both loved Douglas, so it was easy to share highlights with her.
I was pleased too that I could take pictures of the chapels as I showed her around and of course took her to meet some of the very special people here.
They have been our family and since Douglas' death have supported me as they would support any family member of theirs. I have been blessed.
She helped me fill my car, a task that I have had to learn to do.
We even went to the beach at Hunstanton.

Douglas loved being here and loved every aspect of his ministry in the UK as much as he loved ministry in SA.
We had so much fun, shed many a tear and many many memories. She helped me clear Douglas' study and had fun shredding documents.
It was a sad day for me when it came time to travel to London and to say good bye until we meet again in SA. Fortunately we had the train ride to enjoy, another love that Douglas had, so while enjoying our lunch and some last minute sharing we made new memories that will last till we meet again.
