Farewell to David Part 3
Once we got back to London Road Methodist church we enjoyed a strawberry tea where David and Christine were presented with gifts to wish them well on their retirement.

At the disused Royal station at Wolferton we enjoyed looking at the little museum and seeing what train stations used to look like so many years ago.
The property has been divided and is now owned by more than one owner and they have turned the station into residences so we could only walk along the platform of the original station.
The one owner has set this up with examples of different items and pictures from long ago.
Farewell to David Part 1
Today we had the farewell to our Superintendent minister. It started with a bus trip from London Road Methodist Church to Terrington St Clements to fetch David and Christine.
This was a surprise outing for him and we were all thrilled that he was so happy even though we had to sit in the hot bus while he examined the bus before climbing aboard.
Soon we were off. The first stop was Hunstanton where we had a chance to walk along the promenade and enjoy some ice-cream. We saw the ponies ready to offer rides to the many children who were enjoying the first day of their school holidays in the lovely sunshine.

The second stop was at the disused Royal railway station at Wolferton where we once again were given a chance to walk around.
