Today Douglas had a special service in Hilgay to commemorate Remembrance Sunday. We had a full church and a band played for the singing of all the Hymns. After the service in the church we processed to the Memorial down the road for the wreath laying and Last Post. It was very moving and brought back many memories for me as my Mom was always very actively involved in such services as a MOTH and we too had often been part of parades while in Estcourt. Douglas of course is an old hand at it as he has had a number of these services this week.
