Our UK visa expires soon so we have had to apply for an extension and so need to get the new I.D. cards that all the people here are complaining about. We received a letter from the Border Agency telling us we needed to have our Biometrics redone to ensure we were who we said we were. We decided to have this done in Birmingham as we could only get an appointment in London on 9 June 2010.
We went by train so had a chance to enjoy all the May flowers and fields of rape along the route. The trip took over two hours and as we had a morning appointment we decided to go the day before and sleep over and have some time in Birmingham to see some of the sites there. We used our free bus passes there so only had to pay for the train ticket and our room.
All went well and so now we wait for our passports and the new cards to arrive. Hope this does not take too long.
