Today we left the Grandpa at home to rest and the rest of us went for a ride to Denver. We decided to visit the Mill there and were all brave enough to climb up the narrow steps although the Granny and Rachel did not go to the very top floor. We decided that two floors up was enough especially as the blades were turning for the first time in months and the noise was rather loud. It was a beautiful clear day so we could see well into the distance. The man there offered to open the doors so we could venture out onto the balcony but the Granny vetoed that idea.
On the way back to Downham Market we went to see the Denver sluice and the the river and Vera was sure she saw some Guinea Fowls. On the road going back she pointed them out to me and sure enough they did look like genuine Guinea Fowls.
