On Sunday after his morning service, Douglas had a stroke and was admitted to the stroke unit at QEH. He is being well looked after and is making good progress. He praises God that he can still use both hands and is able to walk about without a problem. His speech is improving and he can now have conversations using his limited vocabulary. He spends a good deal of his time ministering to the other patients who are less fortunate than he is and the rest of the time he has therapy that he enjoys very much. Yesterday he had his hair cut and beard trimmed at the hospital hairdresser and says he is a "new man". I visit him daily from 1.30pm till about 8pm and am blessed that Brendon and Wendy and the children are here with me at the moment. Brendon drives me to the hospital and then comes back and collects me later and Wendy does all the cooking so I have a meal ready for me on my return. God is good.
